Traditionally, the bride would wear pearls...usually something very simple. Or maybe with a little of the colors from the wedding.
In recent years, weddings have become less traditional. Many are taken place at exotic places. Beach weddings are probably the most popular of destinations.
Along with beach weddings, comes the jewelry that are made from things from the ocean. I found this shell piece while I was beach combing along the shores of Cocoa Beach. I wire wrapped it with copper wire, and hung it onto this strand of lavender and green glass beads, copper beads, and cream crystals. The toggle clasp has a bamboo look to it. There are some matching earrings available, and both are now available on my etsy shop.
I love this piece with the mother of pearl flower pendant. Look at the pretty flower toggle. I also made some fun earrings to go with.
Does the bride or groom play the guitar? Then dress up some old guitar strings for a unique look.
How about a cake pull? This is a fun Southern tradition.
If you do this, don't do it with a lace table cloth, lol
Something else that is fun to have at a wedding are these glass charms. They help everyone keep their drinks straight, in other words, if you had the flamingo charm on your glass, and you set it down, then you just look for the glass with the flamingo on it, and know it is your glass. You don't necessarily have to have wine glasses or even be at a wedding to use these. Our family doesn't drink, but we would still use them. I think these are perfect for a shower or bachelorette party.
