Peace Craft Love episode 7 Crafts We Love and Why

With Valentine's Day coming up, we decide to talk about some of the crafts we love and why.

In our OUT OF SIGHT segment, Terry shows a seashell mobile she created with seashell fragments she found on the beach, crystals, wire, hemp, and hemp. Terry LOVEs the ocean, and likes to decorate her home with all things ocean inspired.

Tammy loves to crochet, and made a really pretty Granny Square Beanie from a pattern found in "Crochet Boutique Hats" by Rachael Oglesby

In HERE'S THE SKINNY...speaking of crocheting...Terry enjoys that craft too, and has been working on a nativity for all her granddaughters....something else she LOVES. The pattern comes from Crafty Crochet Castle.

Tammy loves to sew, and is in the middle of using some fabric she got for Christmas from Terry. The fabric....inspired by another thing Tammy loves...Jane Austen Collection fabric by Rile Blake Designs.

In the last segment...FAR OUT, Terry and Tammy have some fun things planned for future projects. About five years ago, Terry put together a video on how to crochet beads into a necklace. This video is pretty old, and she put it together not really know what she was doing. Terry REALLY wants to redo it, and plans to do so in the near future.

Tammy has always loved to make jewelry, and has decided to start making some doll jewelry for her Smart Doll.

Well, that's it for another episode. We hope you enjoyed it. Let us know what you think, and if you's like to see any new crafts from us.

Hope ya'll have a wonderful day, and a lot of Peace Craft and Love!

100 Day Project Collab Random Color Generator Earrings

So....I had planned to do the #100dayproject, but the project I picked out was a little too difficult to do everyday.

Then I saw this idea from someone I follow on Youtube.
Brittany, of Brittany's Beads (Turquoise.Street on Youtube) goes over to random.org and gets a new set of random colors each day. The challenge...to make or do something using those colors. Now, since she and I are both jewelry makers, more than likely our projects will be some sort of jewelry item. I've decided to make earrings...yes, that's right
100 PAIR OF EARRINGS.

Day 1

Day 2

Day 3

Day 4

Day 5

Day 6

Day 7

This is just an extra pair. I wanted to go see how it worked, so I went over to the website and these are the colors it randomly came up with for me. I love them! I love all the random colors together.

Now, I am going to try to keep up, the only thing is....I have a new grandbaby coming in March, and will be busy with her and her older sister.

Maybe I'll come home and make a bunch...hmmm...we will have to see. In the mean time, if you want to see my video all about this go to my youtube channel for it and other fun jewelry projects.

Bead Soup Swap Challenge 2021

Yep, that's right, I'm doing another Bead Soup Swap Challenge. Lori Anderson is the host, and my new partner is Sarah Beardslee. I love doing these swaps, because you meet new people and are given new challenges.

Here is a quick look at what I sent Sarah.

I knew I wanted to sent yellow and gray, because they are the new Pantone Colors of the year...and besides, I love yellow! Such a happy color!

I have a lot of paper beads I made several years ago, and decided to send her my yellow ones

I made here some beads from recycled sari ribbon and wire.

I love these yellow butterflies, so decided to add them into the mix....

along with these crystals,

brushed hematite,

and gray glass beads.

This pretty glass leaf pendant is actually what I started out with

and I love how my soup mix was turning out.

This is not part of the bead soup, but just a little gift I made for Sarah. It is an ornament made from recycled guitar strings, hemp, agate beads, stone heart and wire.

We were suppose to send a pendant and a clasp with coordinating beads, so I made here this simple hook and eye clasp.

I found these as I was hunting around for more goodies, so I decided to toss them in.

More hematite!

...and a few little leaf beads to finished the mix.

If you would like to see this soup mix in a little more detail, head on over to my Youtube channel

Stay tuned for all the goodies Sarah sent me...The are a really gorgeous grouping of beads!!!!

Peace Craft Love Podcast Episode 6

In this episode, Terry and Tammy show some of their crafting talents they have been working on, and plan to do in the future.

In the Out of Sight (finished objects) section, Terry shows a mala necklace she crocheted from hemp and beautiful beads. She is editing a video, showing how she made it! Look for this tutorial in February 2021.

Tammy has been sewing for her new Smart doll,  and also put together a tutorial that should publish on 29 January 2021.

In Here's the Skinny (works in progress), Terry is in the middle of learning to make wire cages for crystals. She is making a mobile for someone special, and also putting together a future video for Jewelry Making Fun Collab, hosted by Deb Houck...all about this project.

Tammy is working on a beautiful Garter Stitch Knit Shawl using yarn from Home Spun.

In the Far Out segment (future projects) Terry is working on awareness bracelets and a short video for February....which is Heart Health Awareness Month.

Tammy plans to sew a dress for her new Smart Doll.

Hope you enjoy our video! Please let us know what you think in the youtube comments, and give us a thumbs up and subscribe.

Until next time....

Here's hoping ya'll have a wonderful day, and a lot of Peace Love Crafts!
